Hello

My prayer is that I will grow closer to Christ through my reflections.

Jesus said to his disciples: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in me. In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be. Where I am going you know the way.” Thomas said to him, “Master, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Jn 14

Thank you Thomas for your questions! Lord, I want always to be by Your side! Guide my journey! Lead me to Your Father's house!

R. For ever I will sing the goodness of the Lord.
The favors of the LORD I will sing forever; through all generations my mouth shall proclaim your faithfulness. For you have said, “My kindness is established forever”;
in heaven you have confirmed your faithfulness.

“My faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him, and through my name shall his horn be exalted. He shall say of me, ‘You are my father, my God, the Rock, my savior.’”
R. For ever I will sing the goodness of the Lord.
Psalm Ps 89:

God is so good. God is so good. God is so good, he's so good to me.

My sheep hear my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish. No one can take them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one can take them out of the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.”
Jn 10

Lord keep me always in Your flock. So many times the troubles of my world have beaten me down. Without Your love I would have been lost. Even when I walk through a dark valley, I fear no harm for you are at my side; your rod and staff give me courage.

Thanks Adrienne, It looks great!
The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his Flesh to eat?” Jesus said to them, “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the Flesh of the Son of Man and drink his Blood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my Flesh and drinks my Blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day.
For my Flesh is true food, and my Blood is true drink. Whoever eats my Flesh and drinks my Blood remains in me and I in him. Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Unlike your ancestors who ate and still died, whoever eats this bread will live forever.”
Jn 6

Dear Jesus how can I thank You for this Communion visit. You the great Father of heaven and earth have come to be my guest. My heart is very thankful and is singing You a thank you song. Thank You for coming today, thank You again and again for everything. I believe in Thee, I hope in Thee, I trust Thee. Dear Jesus keep me good. (A prayer I learned before my 1st Holy Communion and I have prayed it ever since.)

Jesus said to the crowds: “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draw him, and I will raise him on the last day. It is written in the prophets: They shall all be taught by God. Everyone who listens to my Father and learns from him comes to me. Not that anyone has seen the Father except the one who is from God; he has seen the Father.

Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life. Your ancestors ate the manna in the desert, but they died; this is the bread that comes down from heaven so that one may eat it and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my Flesh for the life of the world.”
Jn 6:44-51

Dear God please draw me closer and closer to Your heart. Please draw my Mother closer to You, give her healing of body, mind and soul. Strengthen her and give her courage. Blessed be the Lord our God!

Mary Magdalene stayed outside the tomb weeping. And as she wept, she bent over into the tomb and saw two angels in white sitting there, one at the head and one at the feet where the Body of Jesus had been. And they said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “They have taken my Lord, and I don’t know where they laid him.” When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus there, but did not know it was Jesus.

Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you looking for?” She thought it was the gardener and said to him, “Sir, if you carried him away, tell me where you laid him, and I will take him.” Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to him in Hebrew, “Rabbouni,” which means Teacher. Jesus said to her, “Stop holding on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am going to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”

Mary went and announced to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord,” and then reported what he had told her.
Jn 20

Lord, I have often wondered about the scriptures about Your resurrection. Why were the women the first to hear of Your resurrection? Why didn't Mary recognize You? How was Mary holding You here? There is so much we don't understand. Increase my faith. I am very anxious to be with You. I wish to understand what the gospel writer intended and the message You want us to know.
I do believe that You died on the cross, rose from the dead and ascended into heaven. I do believe that You came for this purpose to save mankind; to save me. I do believe that You love me beyond all telling. Thank You Lord, I long to be with You in heaven.

Alleluia
Keep me, O God, for in you I take refuge; I say to the LORD, “My Lord are you.” O LORD, my allotted portion and my cup, you it is who hold fast my lot.

I bless the LORD who counsels me; even in the night my heart exhorts me. I set the LORD ever before me; with him at my right hand I shall not be disturbed.

Therefore my heart is glad and my soul rejoices, my body, too, abides in confidence; Because you will not abandon my soul to the nether world, nor will you suffer your faithful one to undergo corruption.

You will show me the path to life, fullness of joys in your presence, the delights at your right hand forever.
Alleluia
Ps 16

Lord I know that I am truly blessed. Help me to feel the attitude of gratitude down into my bones. Etch it so deeply that it effects all that I say and do. Help me to be more loving. Help me to reflect Your love to those around me, especially anyone I take for granted.

At daybreak on the first day of the week the women who had come from Galilee with Jesus took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb;
Lk 24

Lord the wait is almost over. Thank You for loving me even unto death. I love You

Standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala. When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son.” Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother.” And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.

After this, aware that everything was now finished, in order that the Scripture might be fulfilled, Jesus said, “I thirst.” There was a vessel filled with common wine. So they put a sponge soaked in wine on a sprig of hyssop and put it up to his mouth. When Jesus had taken the wine, he said, “It is finished.” And bowing his head, he handed over the spirit.
Jn 18

Forgive me Lord, I love you.

So, during supper, fully aware that the Father had put everything into his power and that he had come from God and was returning to God, he rose from supper and took off his outer garments. He took a towel and tied it around his waist. Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and dry them with the towel around his waist. He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Master, are you going to wash my feet?” Jesus answered and said to him, “What I am doing, you do not understand now, but you will understand later.” Peter said to him, “You will never wash my feet.” Jesus answered him, “Unless I wash you, you will have no inheritance with me.”
Jn 13

Lord, You have washed us clean in Your blood. In the waters of baptism You made me Your sister, Your daughter. How can I wrap my mind around that reality? Then You died for me to give me eternal life with You. How can I wrap my mind around that reality? Your love is beyond imagination, beyond comprehension. How very blessed I am. It pains me Lord to remember all that You suffered for me. Help me to remember Your suffering so that I can avoid and detest my sinfulness because You carried it to Calvary.
